In this video we are going to show you how to create custom fields. These fields are specified by the user dependent on the target group. You can determine which of these are mandatory when adding target instances.
Once you have logged into your NowWeComply account, select admin, targets and then Edit target types.You will be shown a friendly word of caution- please read it before you proceed because it warns about making changes to fields, which are used either by other system or during imports.
Start by selecting which Target type you want to create custom fields for. Each target type will have its own set of standard and Custom fields.
Before you add your own Custom Fields you should delete the ones already in NowWeComply that you don’t want. Simply tick the delete box adjacent to the unwanted field. At the bottom of the page you will see the option to add a new custom field with Name and Type boxes.
To begin name your new custom field, then select the appropriate type from the drop down menu.
Once you have completed this Click Add another to enable this field. Repeat the process if additional fields are required.
Freeform and number types allow you to add restrictions on minimum or maxium values. Click the link under the field type, add your values, then click save. If you choose the type Select From in order to provide a list you will need to click Select From on the custom field you have just created, a choices field appears in which to type your options, separated by commas (,). When you’ve listed all your possible choices click Save.
Once you have finished adding custom fields, click save changes
